How do I add spaces between each character in the Date field to match the Date Field Indicator J J M M A A A A, as requested by the CPA’s Standard 006?
According to the Canadian specification, CPA’s Standard 006, it is not required to add spaces to match the Date field indicator, J J M M A A A A. The Date field indicator is mandatory to print on the check below the “Date” to indicate which of the three permissible numeric date formats is used (for example, YYYYMMDD, MMDDYYYY, or DDMMYYYY). The minimum space for each character for the date to print is 2 pixels. It is not required to space out each digit of the date to match the Date field indicator. However, if you wish to line up or space out the date to match the indicator, you have the option to do so.
